✅ Description:
Ezykof Plus Syrup belongs to the class of medications called expectorants primarily used to treat a cough with mucus. A sudden expulsion of air through the large breathing passages can help clear them of fluids, irritants, foreign particles, and microbes. There are two types of coughs, namely: dry cough and chesty cough (wet cough).
Ezykof Plus Syrup contains Guaifenesin + Levomenthol + Diphenhydramine works by reducing the thickness of mucus in the air passages, this makes it easier to cough up the mucus and clear the airways.
Most of these side effects of Ezykof Plus Syrup do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Take Ezykof Plus Syrup as recommended. Your doctor will recommend how often you take Ezykof Plus Syrup based on your medical condition. Some people may experience nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, itchy rash, and hypersensitivity.

✔️ Each 5 ml syrup contains-
- Guaifenesin 100 mg
- Levomenthol 1.1 mg
- Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 14 mg
✔️ Dosage
Adults:
- General: 2 teaspoonfuls (tsf) of syrup 4 times a day.
- Night-time cough relief: 2 tsf at bedtime followed by 2 tsf every 6 hours.
- Hepatic dysfunction: Exercise caution for subjects with moderate to severe hepatic dysfunction.
Children:
- Aged 12 years and over 2 tsf 4 times a day. For night-time cough relief, 2 tsf at bedtime followed by 2 tsf every 6 hours.
- Aged under 12 years: Safety and efficacy not established.
Renal Dose:
- Exercise caution for subjects with moderate to severe renal dysfunction.

- Shake well before use.
- May be taken with or without food.
- Check the label for directions before use.
- Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth.
✔️ Mode of Action
- Diphenhydramine: Potent antihistamine and antitussive with anticholinergic and sedative properties. The antitussive action is discrete from the H1-receptor blockade and is located in the brain stem.
- Guaifenesin: Reduces the viscosity of tenacious sputum and acts as an expectorant.
- Levomenthol: Mild local anesthetic and decongestant properties.
✔️ Interaction
- Alcohol: This may potentiate the effects of alcohol, codeine, antihistamines, and other CNS depressants.
- Anticholinergics: As diphenhydramine possesses some anticholinergic activity, the effects of anticholinergics (e.g., some psychotropic drugs and atropine) may be potentiated, resulting in tachycardia, dry mouth, gastrointestinal disturbances (e.g., colic), urinary retention, and headache.

- Known hypersensitivity to the product or any of its constituents.
- Not recommended for children under the age of 12 years.
✔️ Precautions
- Not for persistent or chronic cough, such as occurs with asthma, or where cough is accompanied by excessive secretion.
- May impair the ability to drive or operate machinery.
- Use with caution in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma or symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy.
- Avoid alcohol.
